A Visit from Countrywide
Received a visit from the Countrywide Rep yesterday evening with the possibility of me changing over from Calor.
After inspecting my underground tank which evidently is not the normal type and will require further investigation from the Countrywide engineer ( I thought all tanks were the same), the rep was happy to quote me 33p per litre for the next two refils plus £100 pa for the underground tank. This is for a two year contract and considering I have a full tank from the last Calor refil priced at 40p PL and I have the tank filled approx twice a year I reckon its a pretty good deal.
I now have to wait for the engineers report and if in the unlikely event Countrywide reject me I will have to think about contacting Calor to investigate why my tank happens to be different, however I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
Anyone who is in the good position of being able to move contracts can do no harm by contacting Countrywide to see what deal they can get. Now that I have a named contact I would be happy to assist.
More news when I hear from the countrywide engineer.

Countrywide seem to sign up everone with an attractive starting price. I was with Flogas for 5 years having been tied into them when I Bought the house we currently live in. We atarted at 33ppl last December (December 2009) and in 13 months it has shot up over 60% to now 52.6ppl. Which is now the same price I was paying with Flogas a year ago, so I’m back where I started. I think it shocking they can put the prices up that much in a year.
Dear Sir
Can you please supply me with a telephone number or an email address for Countrywide gas distributers
